What Are My Financial Accounts?

Financial Accounts are used to manage and receive payments or withdrawals to and from HireMeLegal. As a Client or , you must have a Financial Account in place in order to hire or to work on HireMeLegal.

To add a form of payment or a withdrawal method to your HireMeLegal account, go to Manage from the top navigation bar and click Financial Accounts.

Adding a credit card account

Clients and Attorneys in supported countries can add a Visa, Mastercard or American Express to their Financial Accounts page for payments. To add a new credit card to your account, scroll down on your Financial Accounts page and click Enter New Credit Card button.

Once you add your credit card, you can use it to pay fees or for work completed on the site.  As a security measure, you may be asked to authenticate your credit card in order to pay Attorneys on HireMeLegal.

Note:  Credit cards are not supported as a form of withdrawal.

Adding a PayPal account

Your Paypal can be added to your Financial Accounts page both to make payments and to withdraw funds. To add your existing Paypal to Hiremelegal:

  1. Click Enter New Paypal Account.

  2. You will then be redirected to Paypal’s site. Click the Pay with my PayPalaccount link and sign in with your email and password.

If you don’t currently have a Paypal account, you can create an account to link to Hiremelegal. To create a Paypal from your Financial Accounts page:

  1. Click Enter New Paypal Account.

  2. Once redirected to Paypal, click the Create a PayPal account link.

  3. Enter the relevant information and click Agree and Continue.

Note:  A credit or debit card is required by Paypal to sign a Billing Agreement and link Paypal to Hiremelegal.

How do I delete an account from my Financial Accounts page?

To remove an account from your Financial Accounts page, please log into your account and follow the steps below:

  1.   Go to the Manage tab in the top navigation bar, then select Financial Accounts from the drop down list.

  2.   Click the Delete link next to the associated account you wish to have removed.

  3.   Click Delete to confirm deletion.

Note:  An account cannot be deleted while it is selected as a , back up payment method if there is a pending refund to the account or if it is the only payment method in a Client account.
